Virtually an enigma to her own British audience, Deirdre Pascall's eclectic influences have been described as both –

“ Jazzy rock that was sometimes reminiscent of Sting's early solo work ”

“ Sound that translates largely into a distaff take on ‘80's pop R&B fusion”

in reviews as opening act for “Eagle Eye Cherry”.

Deirdre – heralds a new sound in the blender; with her band “ KRU” she mixes contemporary pop with rhythm & blues, reggae, calypso, hip-rock and jazz.

She is a singer/songwriter pianist and cellist and writes promos for video and television.

Unique experience gained from piano accompaniment for ballet, has brought her into accompanying ballet classes for one of America's premier ballet dancer Susan Farrell, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, New York City Ballet, Washington Ballet, the Urdang Academy & Chelsea Ballet School in London.

Deirdre is also an educational music consultant and worked for the Kennedy Centre and primary schools in Washington DC . With many strings to her bow, Deirdre is working at present as a vocal coach at the Urdang Academy .
